fitting room moment

I miss trying out dresses

Especially the pencil cut dress.

A typical activity that only happens with his supports.

But looking at my figure now,

I can only wear something that's not figure hugging.

Boleh ke sedih?

P/s: recalled the time I followed Vane for her Xmas dress shopping. Sibuk je nk try baju..lol

Waiting

I'm here in the room
Waiting for my husband's arrival
Waiting for my brother so that we can go to the airport

3 months before

He came to my place so that we could settle some preparations over here

I haven’t received my greens yet so, I was 100% funded by my future husband

We were always out of the house because we didn’t want to disturb the wedding preparation of that person at the house but in the end, I found out that he/she spread that we overshadowed things. * I was like WHAT?!!

Well, forget about that ungrateful person.

So, I made full use of the 4 days to show him around SP but of course our favourite spots were the malls

Basically, we ate, walked, discussed and rushed here and there. When we were back at home, we helped the people (basically they were only my mum and kak da) at home to prepare the goodies. We couldn’t bear to see them struggling by themselves.

The next day (Wednesday) , we had our pre-wed photoshoot. My stepbrother and his wife were so supportive and brought us to various spots so that we could take pictures with different sceneries. Unfortunately, as I was not that photogenic so most pictures didn’t turn out well. *Sorry, fiance!

Nevertheless, here were some of the shots that worth to be embedded in this blog. Smile

And on the last day before he went back, we went to Sunway Carnival earlier just to unwind ourselves. Surprise…surprise…we ended up entering this outlet and he said that he wanted to give me the winter coat and the boots as an early birthday present as it would be another couple of weeks before I would fly to UK. I was beyond excited but at the same time feeling guilty. But, I just could not say no to such tempting offer.

Dad expected us to depart a bit later to the airport but somehow, I decided to go earlier. Some were questioning me why didn’t I go to the person’s solemnation. Well, since no one could send my fiancé so, I was the only one responsible for him. Thus, we left SP but with a little body guard accompanying us. We had three hours before boarding time and since I had checked him in earlier, so we took the opportunity to spend some time at Queensbay Mall. Our stop was the restaurant and DAISO…my favourite shop!

After sending him to the airport, and experiencing a minor hiccup finding way back to Penang Bridge, the little bodyguard and I were finally on our way back to SP. I was told that the solemnation only started at the same time as my fiancé boarded (So, luckily I trusted my instinct and didn’t waste time waiting for nothing). Indeed, holidays in March were meaningful and it made my UK trip worth every penny!

That’s all for now. Maybe in the next post I’ll talk about UK trip or maybe other things that come up in my life. Au revoir!

p/s: Please pray that everything goes well for my upcoming wedding and life after that Smile

Not dust-proof

Ha-ha we are still in the process of cleaning the house..—talk about last minute pressure mode!

The worst part is to handle the dusty boxes of ill brother’s.

Oh My….I started to sneeze and have watery eyes.

Seriously, am not dust-proof.

Should have eaten mum’s allergic pill and wore the face mask.

Day out with Bestie

My day was quite fulfilling.

I was out and about with dearest Ira and her cute and adorable niece, Wawa today.

The lil girl was quite shy at first.

Our choice of movie to watch was decided by her (trying to maintain her good mood)---> Johnny English but due to language barrier and the dissimilarity of the storyline with Mr.Bean, the cute girl started to get cranky. Orange juice & one big sausage managed to hold her to stay put for an hour but after that, we had to get out of the cinema. I didn’t mind, really. Because she’s very cute and the storyline of the movie was quite slow too. So, nothing much that I missed.

We strolled around and looked for Wawa’s bag or purse : fancy choices were between Angry Bird, Hello Kitty and Strawberry. I tried to make conversation with her and it was flattering that she began to imitate me “Na.. ada banyak lagi sana!” Then, she smiled at me and I found her to be even more adorable!

Ira was so patient with her niece’s unexpected behaviours. I learned a lot today. I wish I could be as loving, smart and able to console kids like her. Haha I’ve a big wall to tear down in order to accomplish this.

I was so happy that the shy lil girl finally opened up to me right after lunch. We talked and she no longer worried of grabbing my hands to lead me to her aunty. Greatest satisfaction was when she willingly kissed and hugged me. Awww that was a huge achievement, man! Never thought kids would get used to me that fast. Smile with tongue out

The outing made me feel like I have to prepare better if I would want to have kids soon. A lot of patience, efforts, love & ability to commit. My, my, a realisation within me---> something that I want but I’m scared to have it too. We’ll see how. Besides, it’s still a long way to go.

Just My Luck

I previously decided (after a long chat with Vane) that I would wear my old black heels for my graduation day. They are peep toe- type so I feel a bit reluctant to wear them as it was stated in the guideline ---> court shoes with at least 1.5 inches so my heels are a bit off of the expected dressing guideline.

As I’ve decided already what to wear on that special day (really hope that it won’t rain..touch wood!), mummy said that my shoes are not proper. But what can I do, I’m jobless and buying shoes is the last thing that I’m capable of doing at the moment. (yes, i sedar diri ni berabis)

Today, we went out again, the both of us mum & daughter to Segama & Wisma Merdeka. We were supposed to look for things for the house but Mummy suddenly changed her GPS and headed to a number of shoe stores. We found two shortlisted pairs and I chose the ones that would promise better comfort to these fragile feet of mine (as advised by mum because to her, the look doesn’t matter if at the end of the day, you’ll suffer yourself.) Then again, I couldn’t guarantee that on the very day I won’t hurt my feet at any point because today, I just gave an unreliable hypothesis based on the try outs.

They are Marie Claire’s. And I just discovered that you can also order through online at Bata.com.my.

By the way, my deepest gratitude to my mum for her generosity but I’ll keep in mind that these are just loans. I promise to pay you back when I’m officially hired. (Bila la tuh?! grrr…)

Masa Untuk Ketupat!

Tatkala menjelangnya Hari Lebaran, tidak lengkap rasanya tanpa persediaan juadah tradisi yang menjadi kemestian saban tahun. Well, I’m talking about my mum’s specialty—> Ketupat Palas…wrapped glutinous rice which is cooked with coconut milk. Lain negeri, lain ketupat. Finally, siap juga after 3 hours (kalau lone ranger ni, mau sehari suntuk ape…*_*)

Masa nak proses membalut ketupat tu, ibu terchenta dah beri peringatan, “Akak jangan buat ketupat betina tau, make sure jadi ketupat jantan.” Okay, if 10 years ago, I would say, “What?!!! Which is which?” Tapi kini tidak lagi….saya tau sudah ni Open-mouthed smile: These are the attached pictures to show you the difference between the “Ketupat Jantan and Betina” (pelik namanya kan?Confused smile but ni demo je, belum berisi pulut lagi..heee)

xierradi1770

Ni ketupat betina

xierradi1779

Ni ketupat jantan

So, apakah perbezaan kedua-dua ketupat ni? Basically, if tersalah teknik membalut tu pulut, selalunya jadilah ketupat betina (the one yang ada bucu ketiga di bawah tu) tapi if you do it correctly, you will have the expected ketupat jantan. Lepas dah balut sampai jadi ketupat jantan tu, tangkai daun tu disimpulkan untuk mengelakkan air masuk.

It’s very important to get the wrapping right tau…sebab ketupat betina memang akan masuk air apabila kita masak dia and jadi lembik plus tak sedap!  Then, ditanaklah ketupat2 tersebut sampai masak...Smile

p/s: Sorry for not being able to include pictures lagi sebab tangan occupied.

Terubat Rindu!

I’ve been eyeing the durian stalls at some spots at KK such as under the bridge at Segama and along the Tuaran bypass. Unfortunately, the price of the durians is too expensive and you can’t be sure of the quality…Disappointed smile

But today, rezeki datang bergolek….It was such a pleasure being treated to a delicious breaking-fast dinner at Rasa Nyonya Restaurant, Kota Kinabalu. Food were superb but service 1/5…huhu sayang kan?

Then, we had our dessert at Vedableu, Citymall. Reminded me of the first time I went there Secret telling smile And my craving for durian was finally fulfilled as they do offer fresh ice-cream with the exotic fruit at a limited time…sukenye aku! Had two scoops of mixed flavours ( ferrero rocher and durian) .

I was totally bloated once I finished everything, my diet went down the drain but people said, “Rezki jangan ditolak” makanya I would strive to continue eating well again tomorrow..hehe

Cleaning out my closet

Somehow I managed to find the urge to clean up my full-with-unnecessary-stuffs cupboard. I still remember in one of Oprah’s shows that you have to get rid of things that you rarely use for more than 6 months…and my things were like just stuffs with lots of memories. The house is très small so, keeping those sorts of garbage stuffs would not make things any easier.

The momentum of my clearing process was inconsistent because I tended to just flip through the cards, letters and diaries to see what the old me had written or received from other people. It was amusing to me that there were a lot of amazing things that I went through but somehow they did not stick in my mind. Well, life was kind of occupied as my goal before was quite focused on trying to fulfil my mum’s desire and expectations.

Coming back to the clearing process, I had a final good laugh, embarrassment and tears seeing the old things that I had but as it was time to let go, I only kept some

of them with me. (still want to keep…I know2x..I just couldn’t help myself Smile with tongue out) Anyhow, my glorious stuffs did have one of the things that caught my interests ---> the introduction part of my year-2000 diary. I was a big fan of Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys and still am but it was funny that I did submit to one of the fanatic fans’ features, eg: having the stickers all over the place, not limited to the sticker album that I had. Regarding my old ambition, I was shocked that I wrote that I wanted to be an engineer because I now realised I’ve no interest in that field at all. But I am so glad that the part that I wanted to enrol in a university had been fulfilled. Yey for me! I hope that I can fulfil the second part of the goal too. Smile

Despite of my lack of interest to have any ambition or clear goals these days, I find that it is indeed worthy for us to have written about them in any part of our life because when we managed to look back at what we had have in mind before, it can be a good weightage of seeing how much we have changed. Seeing my old stuffs were undeniably exhilarating and liberating. This reminds me of an essay that I wrote in 2005 , if I was not mistaken was entitled “What will I be in the next 10 years”. The essay was/is with our ex-tutor, not sure if he still keep it. I could not remember what I had written but I’m sure am curious about it…Disappointed smile

Day out with Mummy

Went to 1 Borneo today with mummy…

We went out late (had to watch our fav series) and hoped that dad would not call while we were having our gala time (he doesn’t like us going out after 6p.m).

Mummy said we should appreciate the outing before daddy comes back to KK because we would rarely be able to enjoy our time if he’s around soon.

So, we bought some stuffs and windowed-shopping for good. Savouring the pleasure of seeing the things displayed in every section without any pressure.

I love to hangout with mum…

My favourite part is when she recommends cool outfits for both of us and we would share the same fitting room and laughing together in it.

Having to try and exchange the clothes together is definitely exciting and this helps to strengthen our relationship.

I’m just glad that mum is super cool with me these days.

Unfortunately, daddy’s return is a bit depressing to me. Not that I don’t like having him around but I just like to be able to dress freely at home and lepak sukahati without any restriction.

So, good luck N3. You have another week to enjoy life.

So Unexpected!

As you all know, I have been trying to constantly drink at least 2 litres of water in a day.

It went well for the past 9 days and in fact, yesterday I made it by drinking an extra 1 litre…haha

Unfortunately, this morning I was awaken by something hurtful….

I got this stupid ULCER

I wonder what went wrong…? When I rarely drink enough water as suggested, I never had ulcer’s attack. And the worst thing about it is that the thing is

the place of the ulcer is too ‘strategic’…di antara rahang and at the deepest corner la pun?!

p/s: pls ignore the hideous drawing…

Currently, I tried drinking chrysanthemum tea, 3 Litres of plain water, putting some salt on the infected spot and tonight, I might want to try taking the panadol. So, wish me luck of fighting this misery…

Skittles? Cannot-lah!

When I was little, my mother rarely bought any kinds of sweets or chocolate for us

I couldn’t remember the exact time but somehow I got to know Skittles

It was so delicious and I love it so much

As my daily pocket money was only rm1.50 and 50sen had to be kept aside for the bus’ ticket fee, it was quite difficult for me to save…lapar ba if xeat during recess Sad smileBesides, I could only find it then at places like Tong Hing.

So, Skittles had been classified as one of the expensive favourite food for me just like Cadbury Chocolate….I thought I would be satisfied by trying to compensate it with Mentos (the colourful one)…but of course, it didn’t taste the same…

But, now, I can purchase it without feeling that it’s too expensive like before.

What makes me more happy is that Mr Munchkin always ask if I want Skittles ( now, mentos rainbow is also included). I tend to munch things and there were a couple of times that I wanted sweets to help me focus.

Unfortunately, since my disastrous facial breakouts, I’ve to avoid sugar-based and dairy-based foods. So, no more Skittles or Cadbury or Mentos for me for the time being.

I so HATE Driving---Not!

And today, my journey of a long drive to Kota Belud had finally been realized.

I have always wanted to drive on my own on such a long trip with my friends and sharing stories and gossips along the way. However, as my boyfriend is a more competent driver as compared to me, I can only be the co-pilot, sitting by his side and try hard not to fall asleep.

Before this, I was not able to join my friends’ recent trip to Simpang Mengayau and Kundasang due to my thesis and final assignment’s issue. So, I have decided to seize my final days to travel and just do something out of my ordinary life.

I drove to my friends’ wedding ceremonies in KK and Putatan, which also required me to go to Indah Permai and later, made me decide to contact my student to fetch her to my home to take my kitten and hold it all the way back and to accomplish that I’ve to drive all the way into Kg. Labau, Menggatal (quite far, mind you) and back to Likas and Menggatal again. It was quite tiring but I got to see a beautiful village. Awesome!

I’ve driven to Eleen’s bro’s wedding in Kota Belud. I found it to be quite a fun & thrilling trip because with all the waiting, the slow traffic and the miscommunication, I got to do naughty things which were witnessed by Taufik and Mi Chan. Having to do those things, I felt like I surpassed my own boundaries and restrictions. Well, I am indeed sorry and feel guilty because some of the acts were…maybe….a bit… dangerous ;p But with the two supporters by my side, I felt nothing was impossible….hehe

Basically, I just want to say that I love driving and road trips. Can’t wait to explore the roads in Sarawak. Ngehehe ^_^ And of course, I wish I have Mr. Munchkin too but it’s okay lah….

Chit chatting

We were in the car and we had a small talk as I drove back to Anis’ place. I shared about the reason as to why I want to be with Mr Munchkin as soon as possible. The reason is simply because I rather not spend my money on things that I can actually share with him such as toothpaste and the kitchen utensils. *though I might not be spending to0 much time in the kitchen later Nyah-Nyah The toothpaste part was greatly inspired by the cute loving couple dale & kas when I stayed at their place before..hehe

Anis said that she wishes to have that kind of feeling. To her, it is another level of feeling of sharing with someone who is not a friend or a family to her. It was kind of funny when I think about it because all this while, I am awed by her ability to be so nice and loving towards her little siblings, which I know she would do splendidly in her own personal relationship and yet, she felt my ability to want to share with a stranger was quite an exciting feeling. Basically, I’ve had this kind of feeling since the first time I met him. I didn’t see it as a big of a deal. However, Anis made me see it in another point of view which made me appreciate the feeling that I considered as trifle.

Seriously, I really appreciate my small talks with inspiring people like Anis and Vanessa. They gave me so many advice and shared experiences that made me able to see life differently. Then, when it comes to married couples, I would like to be as happy as my married friends, Kas & Dale and Syafiq & Zai, when I get married later. They were able to go through thick and thin together without much hassle. Owh dear, I’ve rambled so much which clearly showed that my mind is quite occupied with marriage thingy and my personal confidence and negativity issues.

Then again, be positive Xierra! You can do it!

Sheldonized

I was just finished watching another new series, The Big Bang Theory. * after being so sad that I've to wait another few months for the new season of Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl.
I find myself amused and interested with the nerd-ness and the intellectual dialogues of the characters. They were very funny and one of the characters, Sheldon, reminded me so much of two of the significant people in my life. I like his sarcasms but his ineptness in social interactions was helpless yet amusing. Making friends does not require any mathematical's or science's equation for God's sake! LOL
It makes me see how people can be perfect in one aspect but helpless in another. Even the geniuses are impaired in some ways, so I should not be that despair. Well, I am only done with the second season so, I am hoping to see improvements in Sheldon's character.

Everyday I Love You…

In the struggle of generating ideas for my assignments,

I somehow managed to find the time to bake another set of cookies

I just want to ration something that I like…

Then again, the sight of him popped into my mind and my hands automatically worked their ways into this…--->

I know you miss me. Hope this can compensate some of it.

My Water Moments in Redang

On 14th May 2010, I have taken part in a trip to Terengganu with UiTM D-Link IPGaya & IPKB Cohort 4 for an educational trip. So, the aim was to do a research in a few schools in Kuala Terengganu and contribute ourselves for a community work in SK Redang while having a good, relaxing and enjoyable sight seeing at Redang Island and Sekayu Waterfall. For this entry I would like to focus on my snorkeling experience at the Marine Park Centre, Redang Island, Terengganu.

So, you see...I am a person who likes water so much and I have been dreaming to engrave the memories I would be experiencing in pictures. Yes, I bought a camera on February but it seemed that the price for a waterproof camera was out of my budget. Thus, before the trip, I have been saving to buy a waterproof case for my fragile and precious cammy, Olympus mju 1070. I invested on an Aquapac waterproof case to ensure I can make half of my dreams come true.

Coming back to my trip, the snorkeling activity was a blast. I was awed by the beauty of God's creation. Using the Aquapac was quite challenging because it was my first time usage. So, I just took and snapped without having the chance to look at the pictures due to the difficulty to see the images in the LCD under the bright lighting. So, here were some of them.

As you can see, these pictures I took were kind of hazy and the colour pigments of the entities in them were not clear. What I have seen with my bare eyes were so much better and breath-taking. I even had the experience of forgetting to breathe through the J-tube and caused me to nearly choke myself for lacking of oxygen.

Seeing those pictures, I really wish I can have a waterproof camera on my own. I've been to Low Yatt Plaza before and spotted some advertisements on Sony TX5. Wow! What a catch! Based on the specifications and picture previews, I believe the pictures I have taken CAN BE better, clearer, more memorable and have no limits with that kind of camera.

These are the pictures that I might have captured IF ONLY I have Sony TX5 on my trip to Redang Island.

As previewed above, you can notice the difference of quality that a real water-proof camera can provide as compared to relying to a mere water-proof case like Aquapac.

So, what is really special about Sony TX5 that makes me want to put my hands on it so much?
Basically as we can refer to http://www.sony.com.my/product/dsc-tx5 , this camera has the features that can make a traveler who loves sight-seeing as me to capture all the moments that are worth to be cherished without any hesitation.

10.2 Mega Pixel T Series 4x Optical Zoom Cyber-shot

The compact Cyber-shot TX5 is built to be water-, shock-, dust- and temperature-proof! With features like Intelligent Sweep Panorama, Handheld Twilight and Anti-motion blur, TX5 can give you the photographic power to shoot in style whenever, wherever.

• Water-proof (up to 3 meters)
• Handheld Twilight
• Intelligent Sweep Panorama
• “Exmor R” CMOS Sensor
• BIONZ Image Processor
• 25mm wide angle Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar lens

This awesome camera also provides four attractive and irresistible features so that you can snap pictures in various conditions such as:

Water-proof
Dive in with the water-proof Cyber-shot TX5. Capture beautiful underwater shots up to 3m deep for up to 60 minutes*.

Temperature-proof
Keep on shooting even below freezing point up to –10ºC** with this tough camera in harsh weather conditions.

Dust-proof
With the superb dust-resistance of the Cyber-shot TX5, you can be assured to always get spotless images whatever the environment is!

Shock-proof
The shock-proof design of the Cyber-shot TX5 allows drops of up to a height of 1.5m*, the usual height we hold the camera for photo-taking.

Admit it! This camera is worth having and should I had it before, I am sure it can Intensify my whole experience in the water and giving life to the pictures I take.

Undeniably, I would love to have this cammy in my list of possessions if I can have the chance. As a recap, my water moments in Redang was not too bad and severe but having a GOOD camera would definitely make my trip better. I hope for my next snorkeling trip, I can have Sony TX5 as my perfect companion ;)

Dreams Been Shattered and Realised...

Waiting for the train ;)

For months I have waited and planned for the list of journeys, yet again Dad changed his plans.
No chance of visiting my friends' cats, going to the dentist at PK, helping my other half to collect his leftover things at Fadly's house & etc...*sigh

I was clouded with anger due to the recurring frustrations which include some ups and downs issues in life. The tense I experienced, worsen the sickness of my tummy. So, I took the step of cleansing my hands and planned to compensate these hurts with a search and an aim. I am going to spend a bunch of my money in a day! *huhu I knew some of us done worst than this..my amount can never beat you guys but to me, it's a lot.

With the inspiration that I acquired from the internet, I googled the item in mudah.com & lelong.com. Hmmm...interesting. Something caught my attention and my dearest became the main target of harassment for his opinions and instinct. Yes, the anger was settled down a bit now. We planned for an outing the next day, just to ease me out of the emotional distress. I was asked to wait and search for the thing that caught my eye at retail stores for better deals. Prior to my sleep, I drank the Orang Kampung tea (Tq salwa) to lessen the gas in my tummy and tried to indulge with my favourite past time as soon as possible-->sleeping. After the toss and turn, self- reflect and determined attempt of convincing myself such matter happened with a reason, I managed to get a grip of myself and slept.

Voila~ I woke up before Subuh by the wake up call from my tummy and it continued throughout the day...so much of decreasing the gas, now have to endure another type of sickness..*cis! By the way, in the afternoon, to Sunway we went and takoyaki was the first thing that we attacked. After "inspecting" the three lower floors for good sales, we had our lunch at Gasoline.

too dark & romantic la the place ;p

Then, off we went again checking all the stores and finally, we started entering SenQ and Harvey Norman and surveying. After some "heart-to-heart" talk with the promoter at HN, our journey has been lighted to a clearer path.

Determined faces *copying Shadow's stuck-out tongue

My, my...what a journey. Suddenly, we were at MidValley. *Cewah...suddenly knun ;p
Walking amongst the crowd with a hope and a dream.
Alas, we were at the place of booth-fair. In less than an hour of weighing the pros and cons, of comparing models, of listening to the details, of choosing the colour and of withdrawing the cash, one of my dreams was fulfilled.

The secret was let out by the HN promoter and we got to buy the camera with all the extra things such as extra battery, a year of world-wide warranty, tripod, 8gb mmc and etc for half price. I was so grateful for such a lucky day. I know that without the promo, I will never get the extras even by paying the original price...*phewww~ just my luck.

Yes, thanks to my dearest other half who has been so patient during the outing and been tirelessly asking me to be patient and never to give up on hope. In fact, thanks to my distressed feelings, I have "accidentally" presented myself with this cammy ;p. A dream that I have been holding on inspired by Sis Dedz and Pangkor trip, has finally been realised.

Another Offspring on CNY

my beb, Dolly Toché during last hols

12th Feb, I flew back home to KK.
The intention is to send back few of my stuffs & to cure my lovesick towards my mum & cats.
I was so happy to be home especially seeing the furry felines grew fatter & more adorable...
My excitement caused me to pour them with all the gifts I bought for them right there and then...
They like the new comb so much...and I can see they also love the Iam's and RC new flavours kibbles..hehe *glad my instinct works

At home, other than enjoying my time with mum with all the sight seeing trips, I indulge myself with my furry pillows..hehe Yet, this hols is another meaningful moment to me because Toché gave birth to three cute babies on CNY. I strongly believe it's Junior's offspring because I was there during the scene..haha and I have guarded Toché from loafing outside of the house with other unfamiliar felines.

Well, seeing Junior, he has the nice stripes and thick fur...but short. So, I really really hope the kittens turn out to be like Ciko (Toché's previous baby), having thick and long fur with short feet. *the stripes are looking great already...hehe But we can never expect any certain outcome in the future, it might turn out to be the other way around. If that should happen, I'll still love them as much. Just the way I love Dodo, Sumi, Jelo and etc. ;)

To reflect back, now I have more new tigers in the house (hope it survives till the end) just as accordance to the Chinese calendar, Year of Tiger. Having them on CNY also makes me feel so prosperous. Yup, this time I am able to be by my beb's side on her labour day, a make up for her first time that I missed. So, my return to KK has a silver lining, despite the fact that I left someone alone for a short while *don't cry baby, you know I'll always be by your side ;) I have hopes which I'll put forward together with my prayers and efforts but in the end, it is Him who will decide what will happen eventually. Again, I'll go with the flow and see what shall awaits me ;) *meows, please be good..and fat and furry and manje!

new kittens of CNY
