My Water Moments in Redang

On 14th May 2010, I have taken part in a trip to Terengganu with UiTM D-Link IPGaya & IPKB Cohort 4 for an educational trip. So, the aim was to do a research in a few schools in Kuala Terengganu and contribute ourselves for a community work in SK Redang while having a good, relaxing and enjoyable sight seeing at Redang Island and Sekayu Waterfall. For this entry I would like to focus on my snorkeling experience at the Marine Park Centre, Redang Island, Terengganu.

So, you see...I am a person who likes water so much and I have been dreaming to engrave the memories I would be experiencing in pictures. Yes, I bought a camera on February but it seemed that the price for a waterproof camera was out of my budget. Thus, before the trip, I have been saving to buy a waterproof case for my fragile and precious cammy, Olympus mju 1070. I invested on an Aquapac waterproof case to ensure I can make half of my dreams come true.

Coming back to my trip, the snorkeling activity was a blast. I was awed by the beauty of God's creation. Using the Aquapac was quite challenging because it was my first time usage. So, I just took and snapped without having the chance to look at the pictures due to the difficulty to see the images in the LCD under the bright lighting. So, here were some of them.

As you can see, these pictures I took were kind of hazy and the colour pigments of the entities in them were not clear. What I have seen with my bare eyes were so much better and breath-taking. I even had the experience of forgetting to breathe through the J-tube and caused me to nearly choke myself for lacking of oxygen.

Seeing those pictures, I really wish I can have a waterproof camera on my own. I've been to Low Yatt Plaza before and spotted some advertisements on Sony TX5. Wow! What a catch! Based on the specifications and picture previews, I believe the pictures I have taken CAN BE better, clearer, more memorable and have no limits with that kind of camera.

These are the pictures that I might have captured IF ONLY I have Sony TX5 on my trip to Redang Island.

As previewed above, you can notice the difference of quality that a real water-proof camera can provide as compared to relying to a mere water-proof case like Aquapac.

So, what is really special about Sony TX5 that makes me want to put my hands on it so much?
Basically as we can refer to http://www.sony.com.my/product/dsc-tx5 , this camera has the features that can make a traveler who loves sight-seeing as me to capture all the moments that are worth to be cherished without any hesitation.

Admit it! This camera is worth having and should I had it before, I am sure it can Intensify my whole experience in the water and giving life to the pictures I take.

Undeniably, I would love to have this cammy in my list of possessions if I can have the chance. As a recap, my water moments in Redang was not too bad and severe but having a GOOD camera would definitely make my trip better. I hope for my next snorkeling trip, I can have Sony TX5 as my perfect companion ;)

Of A Search and Soul mate

I was so nervous to go on this trip

I had not had my sleep since yesterday

I was pretty hungry but yet, no heavy and yummy food to eat that early

I also had a bad hair day but whatever...

So, when we reached the place, all the shops just started to open,

I was again worried, it was too early, would they want to entertain us?

Suddenly, I had second thoughts, because he seemed not fond of my choice

But previous researches saved me, and he also tried to give it a try

We looked and searched, listened to the price offering and bargaining

We walked and climbed all the way up

I frowned and got confused, He still struggled for me

And when we found the right place, we went around again to give it another thought and looked for the right colour.

To bump into another few ridiculously annoying dealers was a tormenting moment

Went back to the previous place, bargained and adjusting budgets

Decided as quickly as possible on the colour to avoid annoying him

And voila! They took the sealed box and opened it in front of me.

A nice, seemed fragile and small baby of mine was placed in front of me

I was half believed, felt guilty for my previous baby

As I was practically hopeless in a dream world, he saved the day again by ensuring the baby to be in good condition

So, YES I went back with a new baby, a Soul Mate, the one that I thought I would not get due to its high demand.

As Sirhajwan said, "hope the new baby is a sign of a new beginning, new life & new hopes"

Yes, I hope for that too Sirhaj..;)

Which is better? a Follow-up Edition

My recent weeks have been quite 'entertaining'. Thus, I was a bit occupied by the travelling, moving things around as well as getting myself as composed as possible so that I will not be overwhelmed by the massive works awaiting for my immediate attention... * sigh

So, as I've been here in Shah Alam, specifically Kolej Cemara Sect. 18 for about a week, I think I can forward my feedback on the broadbands' performances.

Hahaha....guess what? DIGI broadband is marvellous here. You will never regret it let alone with the cheap rm100 for the modem and 2 months bill payment under Digi Campus subscription. What more can we as student ask for, right? ;)
As a result, my housemate, Miss S has instantly went to PAS to purchase the DIGI Broadband and now both of us enjoyed our streaming experience contently...ngeeheeee ;)

But, what about Celcom Broadband here in Kolej Cemara? Well, the service is better as compared to when I was in Akasia. However, despite the high mbps stated , I still have to wait for my pages to be loaded...(with Digi, I don't even have the time to switch my page...sounds great, kan?)

Yet again, we never know what might happen in the future. The service might get slower due to the ever increasing users, as occurred to Celcom's and WiMax's users. I just hope my feedbacks can help those who are still deciding which broadband to choose.

Life is about choosing. I have taken the 'road not taken' and surprisingly, I am not disappointed by it. Thank You God!

Which is better?

Technology sure helps a lot in making our lives easier these days.
Before the IT era, people search for knowledge , education & information manually, through printed materials, personal research or previous research references.Nowadays, we have internet connection to make life simplified & worthwhile. No more hustle.

I have been using the mobile internet service provided by two competing telcos : Celcom Broadband & Digi Broadband.

Wow..I seem to be greedy...but it serves just out of curiosity to weigh which telco provides better service.

Below are the findings that I have deduced based on my experience (it may not be generalised to all ;p)

CELCOM Broadband
  • In shah alam (sect 18), Celcom broadband performs poorly despite the supposedly expected speed & connection (I paid rm99 monthly for 5gb download but it acts like a rm68 internet connection..grrrr )

  • The signals always provide us with false hope; stating that there's HSDPA but when a page is being loaded, it feels like you are using edge.

  • The similar situation happens in my hometown, Kedah & Sabah (though it is better in KK by 30% of improvement)... ;(

  • Loading the page is killing my patience, let alone trying to download things massively. Due to this, my surfing experience usually focuses on simple types of page that requires less loading...if you know what I mean..;p So, I have to be really in a happy mood to keep up with the nonsense if I want to play games on Facebook or open videos on Youtube.

  • Disconnected from the connection is another problem that bothers me a lot when using Celcom.(WHY..WHY..WHY???)

  • Despite the annoying connection quality, Celcom does prove its claim that it has the widest coverage. So, wherever you are, you can guarantee there is signal but what type of signal would be a surprise...;) simple advice: don't hope too much.

DIGI Broadband

  • This broadband service is really impressive. Well, I am kind of lucky to be living in a neighbourhood which is only 5 minutes away from KK town. So, the coverage sure as hell is strong & reliable..( but why it is not the same with celcom?!)

  • The best signal is the WDCMA which is extremely fast though HSDPA supposed to be faster. I load my page before I even have my chance to blink my eyes! The downloading part is the best...I can download a full series of 12 episodes in less than 2 days.

  • The connection never faced interruptions in anyway..well except if my cats play around the charger & accidentally pulled it off.

  • Though I exceeded the limit of downloading, I can still download without problem in stability despite the slower speed. Well, as long as I can see my favourite episodes, I don't mind waiting. No need to worry if the connection will be disconnected, which does not happen up till now.

  • In Kedah however, I think my place has low signal for Digi so the connection is very slow though it never disconnects. The loading part is quicker as compared to Celcom. ( I still wonder why..)I need to find better place to get the best signals...haha

  • Furthermore, I pay less for more..rm58 for 20gb downloading experience. Yes, I love myself for this. Credits to my mum for opting to get another broadband.

  • Now, I'll have to check for the connection quality in Shah Alam. I am curious of what is expected to happen. Will Digi proves it can be better than Celcom? So, I'll KIV this for awhile until further notice.;p

So, up till now, you can see which is better and you can only claim it yourself after you experience it.
