fitting room moment

I miss trying out dresses

Especially the pencil cut dress.

A typical activity that only happens with his supports.

But looking at my figure now,

I can only wear something that's not figure hugging.

Boleh ke sedih?

P/s: recalled the time I followed Vane for her Xmas dress shopping. Sibuk je nk try baju..lol

3 months before

He came to my place so that we could settle some preparations over here

I haven’t received my greens yet so, I was 100% funded by my future husband

We were always out of the house because we didn’t want to disturb the wedding preparation of that person at the house but in the end, I found out that he/she spread that we overshadowed things. * I was like WHAT?!!

Well, forget about that ungrateful person.

So, I made full use of the 4 days to show him around SP but of course our favourite spots were the malls

Basically, we ate, walked, discussed and rushed here and there. When we were back at home, we helped the people (basically they were only my mum and kak da) at home to prepare the goodies. We couldn’t bear to see them struggling by themselves.

The next day (Wednesday) , we had our pre-wed photoshoot. My stepbrother and his wife were so supportive and brought us to various spots so that we could take pictures with different sceneries. Unfortunately, as I was not that photogenic so most pictures didn’t turn out well. *Sorry, fiance!

Nevertheless, here were some of the shots that worth to be embedded in this blog. Smile

And on the last day before he went back, we went to Sunway Carnival earlier just to unwind ourselves. Surprise…surprise…we ended up entering this outlet and he said that he wanted to give me the winter coat and the boots as an early birthday present as it would be another couple of weeks before I would fly to UK. I was beyond excited but at the same time feeling guilty. But, I just could not say no to such tempting offer.

Dad expected us to depart a bit later to the airport but somehow, I decided to go earlier. Some were questioning me why didn’t I go to the person’s solemnation. Well, since no one could send my fiancé so, I was the only one responsible for him. Thus, we left SP but with a little body guard accompanying us. We had three hours before boarding time and since I had checked him in earlier, so we took the opportunity to spend some time at Queensbay Mall. Our stop was the restaurant and DAISO…my favourite shop!

After sending him to the airport, and experiencing a minor hiccup finding way back to Penang Bridge, the little bodyguard and I were finally on our way back to SP. I was told that the solemnation only started at the same time as my fiancé boarded (So, luckily I trusted my instinct and didn’t waste time waiting for nothing). Indeed, holidays in March were meaningful and it made my UK trip worth every penny!

That’s all for now. Maybe in the next post I’ll talk about UK trip or maybe other things that come up in my life. Au revoir!

p/s: Please pray that everything goes well for my upcoming wedding and life after that Smile

Why am I stuck here again?

The reason I’m here is because of my mum

Each year, I forced myself to be here and smile

They hate us. I know, I do care and acknowledge it. In fact, I felt the same way

But it has been a decade but they still haven’t grown up & matured up their thoughts.

If it’s not because of my mum, I would have hated them 10 times worst

If it’s not because of God, I would have given their own medicine with my own bare hands

They can slander us like nobody’s business but so long as there’s no proof, I’m sure God is just waiting for the right time to teach them.

Right now, I decided that they no longer deserve my kindness as it was merely perceived as hypocritical acts throughout the whole decade. So, why not starting now, I will just ignore them and try to see if they prefer the current ‘ME’ better.

I will pray so hard so that each time they hurt my mum and fail to seek forgiveness, God will take back his mercy on them until they realise their faults.

They’ve hurt their own mum till her last breath. I don’t want them to do the same thing to my mum. I refuse to let that happen. Please pray it won’t happen.

J’adore the Final Week of October

Two significant events happened in my life in October :

1. My Engagement Day

Alhamdulillah that it went well despite facing some issues such as the choice of the theme colour. However, in the end, I chose the colour that I dislike…Yellow-Orange. Well, I’m glad that the outcome of the experiment came out well. Now, I’m OFFICIALLY Adi’s Fiancée on the 29th October. So thankful to my parents, my big brother, Iman & his wife, and of course my fiancé’s parents for helping us realising this. It’s half way to tying the knot now. I hope God will always bless me with His love and protection throughout the next few months until the Big day. Darah manis orang bilang…but u see, I sudah kena insiden minyak panas. Memang dugaan. But it was my own fault due to my failure to think wisely in the kitchen. Here are some shots on that day :

2. My Graduation Day – 31st October

After struggling to finish my 6 years-course, I could finally earn my fabulous degree certificate with pure satisfaction. Not only I got to hear my name being pronounced correctly (has always been a major issue before this) but they even included the special title of First Degree and VCA receiver for my parents to hear! Furthermore, it had been extra special because I get to experience it with my boyfriend of five years who is also now my fiancé. I feel so awesome! Glad to be able to savour a tinge of the special feelings that my married friends felt of being able to graduate with their spouses. Oh yes, I was super grateful that I didn’t trip or anything during the ceremony…my shoes did try to kill me towards the end of the event ;p The downside on that day was that I was a bit frustrated because I was not able to take pictures with some of my dear friends. Not fated I guess. Here are some shots that I managed to get:

What is my next agenda ? What can I say, we are fortunate enough that after a few months of being unemployed, we are finally summoned for SPP interview. Although it’s not yet about posting but at least there’s something related to our future career. Definitely God has His own way of letting things fall into places accordingly. Let’s just go with the flow. XOXO

Second thoughts

I would want to be good to you  and extend another positive gesture but knowing the hurtful things that you caused to my parents, I guess ignorance is the best option. To be entangled in your web of chaos and full of schemes is something that I really want to get away quickly.

p/s:yes, writing this is not ignoring but it’s the first step to motivate me. I kept on forgetting.

Pen pal

Today, I received an email from a cat lover who found my profile in Petfinder. She was very friendly and was quite excited in making friends with me. Due to technical error, I had to text her first to answer her inquiries about pet shops in KK. The way we texted each other seemed like we’ve been friends for so long.I guess having to share the same passion towards cats manages to bond us better. Later, I tried to email her again and voila, technical error was solved (luckily, I was willing to try some trial and error methods). Somehow, these emailing and texting an unfamiliar person reminded me of the old way of befriending people outside of our circle through mediums such as newspaper, magazines & etc. Unique. (ketara never succeeded before…eh got la 1 pen pal is still in contact with me till now ^_^) Not sure how long this will go on but it’s good to get to know someone new once in a while.

House is home.

Renovating a 20-year old house

To accommodate a family that is adding more members soon

He does it all by himself , with his own strength and determination. He done it before. He is doing it again.

Luckily, a friend of his, an ex-contractor is willing to be involved in his small project.

I could not help much.

Only able to prepare cold drinks and some food. (will be continuing it again soon)

I can see how he loves his family so much that also extends a message of a big hope & expectation through his effort with the house.

Please be strong, Abah. I will help you with all my might soon. Next year would be the soonest.

Just My Luck

I previously decided (after a long chat with Vane) that I would wear my old black heels for my graduation day. They are peep toe- type so I feel a bit reluctant to wear them as it was stated in the guideline ---> court shoes with at least 1.5 inches so my heels are a bit off of the expected dressing guideline.

As I’ve decided already what to wear on that special day (really hope that it won’t rain..touch wood!), mummy said that my shoes are not proper. But what can I do, I’m jobless and buying shoes is the last thing that I’m capable of doing at the moment. (yes, i sedar diri ni berabis)

Today, we went out again, the both of us mum & daughter to Segama & Wisma Merdeka. We were supposed to look for things for the house but Mummy suddenly changed her GPS and headed to a number of shoe stores. We found two shortlisted pairs and I chose the ones that would promise better comfort to these fragile feet of mine (as advised by mum because to her, the look doesn’t matter if at the end of the day, you’ll suffer yourself.) Then again, I couldn’t guarantee that on the very day I won’t hurt my feet at any point because today, I just gave an unreliable hypothesis based on the try outs.

They are Marie Claire’s. And I just discovered that you can also order through online at Bata.com.my.

By the way, my deepest gratitude to my mum for her generosity but I’ll keep in mind that these are just loans. I promise to pay you back when I’m officially hired. (Bila la tuh?! grrr…)

Hurt ma feet

It had been such a long day

Been travelling since morning

From Naan of Taliban, Inanam to Giant (Tamu)

Then, proceeded to a final visit for BBB at SAMC, Luyang

Later, stopped by at Animal Kingdom, Penampang for pet supplies

I thought we were going to end the journey but we got a phone call saying that my uncle from JB is coming to KK which made Mummy excited and requested for a visit to Segama and CP.

It turned out that we spent 3 hours of window shopping at CP alone (luckily not 1Borneo *_*)

My feet ached so much that I wish our house owns the massage machine to relieve the strains all over my body.

*

*

*

However, seeing my mum happy at the end of the day is indeed a great satisfaction because seriously, I couldn’t stand it if she became all grumpy due to my failure to please her accordingly (who does, right?).

In fact, BBB is finally eating voraciously..Yey ^_^  and shows great interest to join Pinchu and Baby in playing tag. No more jabs for the adorable BBB. For the day onwards, Do try your best to get into the circle, okay? Kakak always support you Smile.

Unoriginal Attempt

#awkward when the person declares that he/she hates copycat and right before your eyes, he/she imitates you like nobody business.

I would take that as maybe the person was inspired by me and it was a good thing for the person tried to practice English though I wish I could help correct the person’s grammatical errors. I sense unwritten rivalry but why? I don’t disturb you. Shoo shoo!

Chit chatting

We were in the car and we had a small talk as I drove back to Anis’ place. I shared about the reason as to why I want to be with Mr Munchkin as soon as possible. The reason is simply because I rather not spend my money on things that I can actually share with him such as toothpaste and the kitchen utensils. *though I might not be spending to0 much time in the kitchen later Nyah-Nyah The toothpaste part was greatly inspired by the cute loving couple dale & kas when I stayed at their place before..hehe

Anis said that she wishes to have that kind of feeling. To her, it is another level of feeling of sharing with someone who is not a friend or a family to her. It was kind of funny when I think about it because all this while, I am awed by her ability to be so nice and loving towards her little siblings, which I know she would do splendidly in her own personal relationship and yet, she felt my ability to want to share with a stranger was quite an exciting feeling. Basically, I’ve had this kind of feeling since the first time I met him. I didn’t see it as a big of a deal. However, Anis made me see it in another point of view which made me appreciate the feeling that I considered as trifle.

Seriously, I really appreciate my small talks with inspiring people like Anis and Vanessa. They gave me so many advice and shared experiences that made me able to see life differently. Then, when it comes to married couples, I would like to be as happy as my married friends, Kas & Dale and Syafiq & Zai, when I get married later. They were able to go through thick and thin together without much hassle. Owh dear, I’ve rambled so much which clearly showed that my mind is quite occupied with marriage thingy and my personal confidence and negativity issues.

Then again, be positive Xierra! You can do it!

Boxes to be delivered

Glad that I made him proud of me.

Meeting his dad was a super nerve-wrecking experience

I’m so afraid of that being myself would end up with a disaster.

The moment I started to drive the car, everything did not go as smoothly as I expected. With the endless traffic jam and red lights *dui, I was that unlucky. I just wished I had my own flying car so that I wouldn’t keep his dad waiting too long. Looking at the three boxes that belonged to him, I could only sigh again.

And when I finally made it to the destination, I quickly came out of the car, breathless but able to smile, uttered my apologetic words and ‘salam’ him. I felt so guilty but there was nothing that I could do about the things that I couldn’t control. There were awkwardness within me as I was unsure of what to do after the boxes were successfully transferred to the trolley. But I did what I was taught to do since my tender age, to ‘salam’ as a parting gesture and send my regards to my future family.

Today, my Munchkin was excited in his texts. He told me that his dad was very pleased with me. I thought that he was only pulling my leg. I am totally grateful to hear that. Another good start as a future daughter in-law, aite? Smile with tongue out  I just hope to be able to maintain it. Despite the rough starts, it ended up quite well. *patting my own shoulder

Bloom forever

I’ve been walking down this path for a long time

I see different kinds of flowers bloomed and died

Then, I realised there are only a few flowers that manage to survive

I thank them for enduring me

What?! I'm Back at home?

Yes, actually I am reluctant to leave the hostel
I've purposely delayed my trip back home since last Friday
Having to indulge myself with the freedom of educational commitments was quite exhilarating.
I took the time to fill in my external hard disk with all sorts of movies and series from various sources
At night, I encountered with some friends' conflict of interest which made me feel that there were things which should not be made as competition or to condemn each other. But, after consoling myself and figuratively slap myself to be positive and focus on the real mission, I decided to ignore things, sleep it off, pray that God will help us and less FB-ing.
I made myself observe the big room and I realised that despite the unsatisfactory treatments that we received from Gaya admin, ;

  • I love the big space
  • I love the fairly cool temperature of the place as compared to Shah Alam , Sungai Petani and my current home. Maybe because of the old building and the fact that the hostel is on a hill and surrounded by a swampy area
  • It was the place that I could shower and enjoy the cool water as I please
  • I've my feline companions here as well
  • I shared stories, fun, laughters and tears with my friends

At 2 p.m. , I left the room with Eleen and bid my goodbye to the last person in the room. I dislike the feelings but I've to move on. I should be grateful to have the time to stay home before proceeding into the career world...yikes!

Don’t cry

It hurts to see the people who are significant to us leave

It hurts more to see the ones that we have to leave burst into tears of sadness

This little heart hopes that everyone will be strong and hold on to the good memories.

And that’s the end of it

How should I say this?

Am I happy?

Am I relieved?

Am I sad?

All I know is that I’ve mixed feelings within me.

Six years of being an undergraduate ended officially with the last and only examination that we had this morning.

Now, I have to start arranging my steps accordingly for the upcoming journey that awaits me in less than a month.

Along the way, I have five years to think and decide of what I’m supposed to do next.

However, I prefer to do things just the way I’ve been doing things for so long ; to go with the flow.

Of course, I wish all the best for my dearest Cohort 4 friends. Bright future awaits us so, go for it!

Stop it!

Dear Xierra, you have to start doing these things ;

To be positive

To be grateful

To live in the NOW

To feed self with trust

To be sincere

To self-focus

To start realising that negativity is only going to eat me alive

And He Will Always Be My Best Teacher

To Sir, with Love.

Thank you so much dearest Sir.

For your patience and tolerance towards me.

For giving me what I missed so much---> Sincere Guidance & teaching

After such a long period of experiencing emotional breakdown, you have inspired me today.

I really want to be just like you.

To help and teach my future students, just the way you did to me.

I will never forget how you had picked us up from zero and polished us to be the individuals that we have become now.

May God bless you always for all your good deeds.

And Dear Ex-Tutor, do Stay CooL always!

Going Abroad

Alhamdulillah….

My little brother has confirmed his flight ticket to UK

Wish that I can go and visit him (*have to stalk the airlines’ websites)

Train well there bro…and stop being too American in your speech (stop imitating Eminem, ok ;p)

I believe that he deserves this because all his life, he had been underestimated even by his own family (of course not by the nucleus family members )

Guess that it’s a good thing that he followed my parents’ request to be in the army force. And he did not try to follow anyone purposely. So, please stop being so full of yourself dear anonymous.

We create our own future through the decision that we make. Be it good or bad, it will somehow make you a wiser person as life is full of lessons. Isn’t God so generous to us?
