Technology sure helps a lot in making our lives easier these days.
Before the IT era, people search for knowledge , education & information manually, through printed materials, personal research or previous research references.Nowadays, we have internet connection to make life simplified & worthwhile. No more hustle.
I have been using the mobile internet service provided by two competing telcos : Celcom Broadband & Digi Broadband.
Wow..I seem to be greedy...but it serves just out of curiosity to weigh which telco provides better service.
Below are the findings that I have deduced based on my experience (it may not be generalised to all ;p)
CELCOM Broadband
- In shah alam (sect 18), Celcom broadband performs poorly despite the supposedly expected speed & connection (I paid rm99 monthly for 5gb download but it acts like a rm68 internet connection..grrrr )
- The signals always provide us with false hope; stating that there's HSDPA but when a page is being loaded, it feels like you are using edge.
- The similar situation happens in my hometown, Kedah & Sabah (though it is better in KK by 30% of improvement)... ;(
- Loading the page is killing my patience, let alone trying to download things massively. Due to this, my surfing experience usually focuses on simple types of page that requires less loading...if you know what I mean..;p So, I have to be really in a happy mood to keep up with the nonsense if I want to play games on Facebook or open videos on Youtube.
- Disconnected from the connection is another problem that bothers me a lot when using Celcom.(WHY..WHY..WHY???)
- Despite the annoying connection quality, Celcom does prove its claim that it has the widest coverage. So, wherever you are, you can guarantee there is signal but what type of signal would be a surprise...;) simple advice: don't hope too much.
DIGI Broadband
- This broadband service is really impressive. Well, I am kind of lucky to be living in a neighbourhood which is only 5 minutes away from KK town. So, the coverage sure as hell is strong & reliable..( but why it is not the same with celcom?!)
- The best signal is the WDCMA which is extremely fast though HSDPA supposed to be faster. I load my page before I even have my chance to blink my eyes! The downloading part is the best...I can download a full series of 12 episodes in less than 2 days.
- The connection never faced interruptions in anyway..well except if my cats play around the charger & accidentally pulled it off.
- Though I exceeded the limit of downloading, I can still download without problem in stability despite the slower speed. Well, as long as I can see my favourite episodes, I don't mind waiting. No need to worry if the connection will be disconnected, which does not happen up till now.
- In Kedah however, I think my place has low signal for Digi so the connection is very slow though it never disconnects. The loading part is quicker as compared to Celcom. ( I still wonder why..)I need to find better place to get the best signals...haha
- Furthermore, I pay less for more..rm58 for 20gb downloading experience. Yes, I love myself for this. Credits to my mum for opting to get another broadband.
- Now, I'll have to check for the connection quality in Shah Alam. I am curious of what is expected to happen. Will Digi proves it can be better than Celcom? So, I'll KIV this for awhile until further notice.;p
So, up till now, you can see which is better and you can only claim it yourself after you experience it.
