20-hour trip

 

I took the KTM at 11 pm from Butterworth on the 14th November. I finally get to travel by train and being aware of every little detail during the trip. Once I entered my coach #28, I was shocked to see the setting which was in my opinion similar to dormitory concept but the difference was the two sides of the coach were filled with joint double decker beds.

 

I was excited to see my crib because the last time I remembered, there were no pillow, bed sheet cover or even blanket provided. But I believe this coach is improved since the past few years whereby there was reading lamp and curtain available for each crib. I purchased the lower bed because Dad advised me not to risk anything that might cause injuries to my recovering hand ( I’ve to climb short stairs if I took the upper bed).

I reached KLsentral at 7 a.m. and went directly to the ladies to freshen up and applied some make up. By the time I was done, I realised there was old book sales. I bought a magazine for just rm5. Then, I took the train to Shah Alam at 8.10 a.m and arrived at 9.15 a.m. I was seriously grateful for the ladies coach.

After that, I hopped on to one of the taxis but the uncle couldn’t send me into UiTM compound. He suggested that I took the Rapid bus which I did ( again, it was good that I trusted my instinct to just bring my old TouchnGo card). Off I went to get my graduation certs and for my VCA cert, I had to go to another building which required me to walk down the hill from Seroja until the main gate’s post guard and walked further up the hill until the building of Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin.

I guess God loves me indeed whereby He ensured that the weather was okay ( no rain or storm hitting my way). I love my honey fiance so much because he lessened my tiredness and distracted me from thinking that the journey would be too far and all by being on the phone with me. I had a good laugh all the way.

Once done with the VCA cert, I waited by the post guard for Rapid bus. At Section 2, I took the chance of taking my passport picture and brunch before going back for good. My timing was quite good today as I reached the bus station at Section 17 10 minutes before 12 p.m. and a guy approached me to ask where I was going. He directed me to the KMK bus counter and booked me a seat for the 12 p.m. bus to SP ( Seriously, good timing,aite?). Later, they announced the arrival of the bus, I was actually disbelief because it was a double decker bus. I’ve been wanting to ride such a bus since the days I studied in Shah Alam but I was told no double decker bus available to SP from Shah Alam. Seems like some things have changed .

I climbed the stairs to the second level of the bus happily and excited to get the window seat.Yey! The bus driver was a smart looking guy, you would never guess he was the driver and he drove the bus very carefully and I did feel safe until I reached my destination. I was a bit sad because I promised to go for a double decker bus ride with my Munchkin but maybe God wanted to give me extra love for my effort today by fulfilling my desire earlier (Sorry B…I didn’t expect it too..) I got to experience better view throughout the journey which I really love! I want to do this again!

 

 

I arrived safely at 7p.m. Not bad for a first-timer lone ranger
