Okay, it’s not always that I got myself into accident and usually I tend myself because that’s the way my mum brought me up. However, I experienced different scenario here while living with Dad. With the temporary handicap situation of mine, I could only work with one hand. It was quite difficult for the first few days.
There was a time I tried with extra effort to tie up my hair, mine you it was not achievable with one hand (maybe I was not creative enough). Then, Dad came to the rescue and willingly comb my hair and tie it (it was pretty and in fact, even better than my mum’s hair tying outcome). He did this a few times for the rest of the two weeks.
Then, due to my condition to, I did not manage to wash my hair for a week (yes, it was gross.) But, lucky me, kak che da was willing to help me wash my hair. I felt revitalize and happy with the new washed hair! I am indeed so thankful to her.
These past few days, my burnt skin started to fall off bit by bit. Some spots were okay but some had some redness on them. I am not sure why. My hand did look extra dry & old. So, Dad decided to help me put on the cream that Dr. Khoo gave for scar. I hesitated at first because the doctor said to wait after all of the skin is well recovered. Yet, after 15 minutes, my skin looked better and moist. Okay, thank you Dad.
What I’m trying to say is that actually I’m lucky to be able to experience even a tiny bit of a father’s love especially at this age. Indeed, it was not a meaningless effort of mine to try and be a good daughter and refuse to submit to the force of the circumstances long ago (nearly made me rebel against my parents). Anyway, I will never forget this nice experience. I hope I can give better treatment to them when they need me in the future. Amin.

You're already a good daughter to your parents and I believe they can't find the right words to tell you how much they're proud of you! Get well soon, Nui. This is indeed hard but I know you're stronger now.
