A satisfying lesson

Today , I taught them revision on Simple Present & Simple Past tense.

During the note-taking, it was dull.

Yet, when I explained things to them, they paid good attention.

I was not sure if they really understand what I’ve been teaching them.

So, I let them off to the library with the task sheet.

I monitored their work and pin-pointed at the mistakes they made.

It was a great satisfaction when we checked the answers together.

They were able to explain the reasons to have the respective answers, just like what they learned in previous lessons. It was like a chant,

“ Why is the answer is in basic verb?” “Because modal, teacher.”

What is the verb form after ‘to’ ? “Root word!”

Oh my…they remembered the lesson well. What a feeling !

I realised that they do need grammar lesson. But they need exercises as reinforcement of what they’ve learned.
