The Girl Who Wants It So Bad
Original Airdate: September 19, 2007
This season premiere starts off with the auditions. Several memorable auditions include Jauhari being the 'representative' of the underdogs, Vanessa inspiring the judges with her remarkable confidence despite of her struggle dealing with the death of her beloved father, Azlina's happy-go-lucky attitude, and Farah's memorable childhood.
The pool of 35 candidates is pared down to 20 after the audition process. The final 20 then meet with Mr. Lourdes and Mr. Fauzi, who test them with a quiz of educational-related knowledge and current issues. The next day, the candidates meet with Patsy, who asks them why they should be Gaya's Next Top Student. After the final deliberation, the 13 finalists are ultimately chosen.

The candidates are exhilarated when they are given the key to their glamorous-theme mansion. Mr. Lourdes drops by the house and talks with the candidates about the importance of knowing their personality. He then asks each one of the candidates to establish a name for their individual character based on their interpretation of their own characters, where Jauhari is chosen as the winner. He picks Fauzi and Dalila to join in his reward of having a dinner with Mr. Lourdes.
The next morning kicks off with an interesting first photo shoot where the candidates are given different student stereotypes to portray, as follows:

This week, instead of doing a regular photo shoot, the candidates are split into two groups and have to compete in a forum entitled 'The Pros and Cons of Organ Donation'. Despite of the mounting pressure during brainstorming, both groups manage to deliver a marvellous performance.
At panel, Vanessa, Anis and Sir are praised for their convincing performance in their forum. Azlina and Nadia land in the bottom two for the second time, as they are unable to mask their nervousness in their forum session. However, Nadia's photographs from previous photo shoots are deemed to be just strong enough to keep her in the competition.

Original Airdate: December 5, 2007
This week, the candidates go to a conference room where they have a press conference with the media. They are lambasted with criticism which leaves them in shock. Zanah wins the challenge and picks Van to share a photo shoot on the famous London's TowerBridge.
For the photo shoot, the candidates have to work out their costumes while standing in a crowd of Fox Band Carnival, an annual event held in London to celebrate children's art.
During judging, all of the candidates are greeted with quite positive reviews. Sir is called out first and is recognized for standing out in his photograph, followed by Zanah, who is praised for being tasteful in her shot. Nadia's inability to stand out in her photograph is questioned as she has blended into the background of her photograph. She consequently lands in the bottom two with Van, who takes a bland shot. Original Airdate: December 12, 2007
Mior Azman visits the remaining three candidates, and informs them that they will be doing a photo shoot for Remaja magazine and commercial My Life as a Top Student the next day. Although all the three candidates excel in their photo shoot session, they fail to impress Mior Azman in their commercial session. Zanah did not really get the picture of what she should say, Sir fumbles with his lines while Vanessa is too self-conscious which causes her to sound unnatural.
At panel, Sir's photograph and commercial is well received despite of his struggle and he is called first. Van and Zanah land in the bottom two but in the end, Zanah gets the boot for her inability to handle pressure.
The next day, Patsy visits both candidates for one-on-one session before they prepare for their debate in Congress Centre, which is entitled "Should the Double Jeopardy Rule be abolished?" During the session, Van fumbles with her line as she fails to overcome her nervousness but manage to pick up her vibe towards the end of her session while Sir delivers an impressive performance and ends off strong as he is chosen as the best speaker. The debate ends as the judges decide to agree with the motion of the debate.
Back in the judging room, the panels see both finalists as winners and are divided over their preference of the candidates' performance throughout the competition. Van is praised for her overall portfolios while Sir triumphs with his consistency throughout the competition. Patsy defines Van as a girl who seems to "have given everything", and Sir as a boy who "can give more."
After a long deliberation, both finalists are called in and Sir is crowned as Gaya's Next Top Student.
